Drafting a Functional Specification

With your gathered and documented requirements, you can create a specification document that acts as a blueprint from which both your design and engineering teams can work. Referred to as a “requirements specification,” it often gets shortened to a “spec.” We call it a Functional Spec. Think of it as a compendium of your project scope requirements, elaborated upon by adding step-by-step detail showing how the functionality will actually work.
