Visual design is indeed the fun part of the Core Process — watching a design take shape is always exciting. During this phase, the designers create the visual interface: the first thing the world sees when visiting the redesigned site, the first experience the audience has with the client's brand. Thanks to all your preparatory planning from Phase 1: Define and Phase 2: Structure, this “face” of the redesigned site accurately represents the desired tone, the stated goals, and the established structure of the site in a visual format that is ready to be sliced and optimized. As important as the creative product, you have tested functionality in anticipation of Phase 4: Build, and you have confirmed your information design assumptions through testing. On all levels, the designed interface is ready to build and integrate.
