Snap Goes the Mouse

Drawing cells and tables in Layout view is quite literally a snap. To make it easy to create coherent structures, Dreamweaver defaults to snapping new cell and table borders to those already on the page. Just get within eight pixels of an existing edge and—snap!—you’re locked into position. That’s all well and good for most designs, but suppose that you want to draw out a cell not exactly touching its neighbor? To temporarily override the snapping border, hold down the Alt (Option) key while drawing a layout cell. To contemporaneously ride a snapping turtle—you’re on your own.
