@Import Trick

In regards to CSS, there is a simple way to avoid the hassles of browser sniffing and redirects to multiple versions of the same site. What you need to do is have a style sheet that works well for all browsers, and one that contains CSS for modern browsers in a second style sheet called upon @import. Older browsers such as Netscape 4.x do not recognize @import and completely ignore it. This means you can put all the cool CSS into that style sheet and essentially hide it from Netscape 4.x. When you attach a style sheet using Dreamweaver, you will see a radio button option for Link or Import. The procedure is as simple as choosing the CSS file, selecting the Import option, and clicking OK.
