Wrap Tag Mode

Every now and then, there will come a time when you need to wrap a selection with a specific HTML tag. Superscript and subscript are perfect examples of cases in which you might want to use this technique. Let’s say that you want to make a trademark symbol superscript. First, add the trademark symbol (you’ll find it in the Text category of the Insert bar in the Characters menu), and then make sure that you have it selected in Design view. Now press Ctrl+T (Command+T) and the Quick Tag Editor appears in Wrap Tag mode. (If the Quick Tag Editor appears in a different mode, press the keyboard shortcut again until it displays that it is in Wrap Tag mode.) Now all you need to do is type sup and press Enter (Return). You’ll see the trademark symbol elevated as superscript text. In the same way, you can create subscript text (for example, H2O). Instead of typing sup, this time you type sub. The selected text is wrapped with the or tag pairs, respectively.
