Parlez Vous Geek?

As the world continues to shrink (don’t panic, I’m talking metaphor here), web developers increasingly find they’re working with numerous languages and cultures. Dreamweaver offers full Unicode support, which makes creating multilingual web pages so much easier. Another way that Dreamweaver can help is by ensuring the pages are spell-checked. I don’t know what the Portuguese word for “typo” is, but I’m sure it puts as much ovo on your face in that language as in any other. Did you know that Dreamweaver includes 14 different spelling dictionaries—everything from Danish to Swedish, with 3 flavors of English (American, British, and Canadian) thrown in. To check your page under a different language, open Preferences and, from the General category, pick your choice from the Spelling Dictionary list. The next time you run Text > Check Spelling, you’ll be doing your bit to eradikate... err ...eradicate typos around the globe.
