Chapter 6. Assembly-Line Acceleration: R... > Stylin’ at the Bibliotheque

Stylin’ at the Bibliotheque

I love working with library items and style sheets. There is something so gratifying about dropping what appears to be a plain-text element onto a page and, wham-o, you’re looking good! Working the magic does take a fair degree of planning, however. Of primary importance is the need to make sure that the classes applied to your library item elements are included in your style sheet. Likewise, you want to be sure to define CSS rules for all the HTML tags used in the library items. One way to make sure that your bases are covered is to create the library item from a page where it is correctly styled. To keep you on your toes, Dreamweaver displays a warning that the style rules won’t be included when you save the library item.
