Custom Recordset Navbar

When you are building a page that displays a lot of data-driven entries, recordset navigation is often essential. When you use recordset navigation, Dreamweaver provides almost instant gratification. Choose the Insert > Application Objects > Recordset Navigation Bar, and Dreamweaver provides a complete navigation aid. In addition to inserting eight separate server behaviors, Dreamweaver adds either text or images to create links to the next, previous, first, and last set of records. Naturally, you can style the text however you like, but what if you’d prefer to use custom images instead of the Macromedia-inserted ones? If you’re using the Recordset Navigation Bar throughout your site, replace the source images found in the Dreamweaver MX 2004\Configuration\Shared\UltraDev\Images folder: first.gif, last.gif, next.gif, and previous.gif. After you replace the source images, Dreamweaver uses your custom images rather than the standard ones. Of course, if you don’t want an all-in-one solution, you can replace the images used on a case-by-case basis. Just double-click the graphic to swap in a new image in your local site folder.
