Deadlines, we’ve all got’em—even me. Right now I’m thinking, “What the heck can I say about building dynamic applications that is funny for Chapter 8’s intro?”. So I turned to my good friend Dan Short. We were already chatting along when I said, “Tell me something funny about building dynamic sites.”

I barely blinked twice before Dan replied, “There are some hidden costs to developing dynamic sites that most people don’t think of. You’ll need additional equipment such as beer, pizza, thicker glasses, and hair coloring for the gray spots. Once you have these initial supplies in order you’ll be ready to dig in.”

Of course I replied, “LMAO, I’m stealing this from you for the book with credit <smile/>. Is there anything else funny I can permanently borrow from you for the book?”

“Dreamweaver wouldn’t be the product it is without Dan…just think about it. Who else would make a blog that yellow?
