Chapter 6. Publishing Web Pages > Requesting an E-Mail Review

Requesting an E-Mail Review

Although you might end up making all the changes in Contribute, it's possible that someone else is ultimately responsible for the final published page. If someone else needs to sign off on your edited page before it is published, Contribute has you covered. The e-mail review feature makes sure that your superior or whoever is checking your work is notified that you've completed your work and offers a way to easily review it.

When you request an e-mail review of a completed but unpublished page, Contribute places a copy of your draft in a temporary folder on the server. Then an e-mail message appears with the subject and text prefilled for you. The text of the message contains a link to the draft copy and notes that the link will be available only until the page is published. After you address the e-mail and send it, it's up to the reviewer of the draft to contact you and provide you with comments or the go-ahead to publish the page. Only the person who worked on the draft can publish the page.
