Chapter 6. Publishing Web Pages > Publishing an Existing Page as a New Page

Publishing an Existing Page as a New Page

Creating a new page from an existing page is a perfectly valid method of working. Sometimes the most efficient workflow is modifying an existing page and saving the new page under a different filename. To do this with a word processing program such as Microsoft Word, you would generally choose the Save As command; in Contribute, you would choose File > Publish as New Page.

You have to be in Edit mode for the Publish as New Page option to be available. When you select the command, a dialog box appears (see Figure 6.8). In the Publish as New Page dialog box, you'll need to complete two fields: Page Title and Filename.
