Adding a Horizontal Rule

Web pages have the facility to draw a graphic line across all or a portion of a page. This line is called a horizontal rule and provides a clear method of separating content. You can add a horizontal rule to a page by choosing Insert > Horizontal Rule.

As with an image, a horizontal rule has a series of properties associated with it: width, height, and shading. The width of a horizontal rule is given in either a percentage or a pixel value; the default width in Contribute is 100%. The height of a horizontal rule can also be changed, but only in pixels. By default, horizontal rules are drawn with a 3D shading; you can, however, turn off the shading.
