Sorting Table Data

If you've ever had to sort a web page table by hand, you're going to love this feature. With the Sort Table command, Contribute provides a method for you to sort a table of any size, either alphabetically or numerically—up to two levels deep. You could, for example, sort a table of employees by only their last name or by last and then first name.

With the Table Sort command, you choose which column of the table to sort by its position in the table, reading from the left. The first column is Column 1, and the second column is Column 2. The sorting list in the command shows a numbered entry for every column in the table. Before you begin a sorting operation, it's a good idea to note the position of the columns you intend to sort by.
