Cutting and Pasting Cells, Rows, and Columns

Another method to add a row or column to a table is to copy one or more existing ones and paste the copies in. The basic operation is as you would expect it: Copy the cells, rows, or columns; place the cursor where you would like the new elements to go; and paste. Naturally, this same general technique can be used to move cells, rows, or columns; just choose Edit > Cut instead of Edit > Copy.

There are, however, two rules of thumb to follow when copying (or cutting):
