Comparing CSS Styles and HTML Styles

Dreamweaver has another type of style, HTML Styles, available through the HTML Styles panel (Window, HTML Styles). HTML Styles are simply a quick method of setting multiple text and font properties. You can set the font face, size, and color; text style (bold or italic); and paragraph attributes such as format (such as H1) and text alignment.

I don’t suggest using HTML styles to set font attributes because they add <font> tags to the Web page. The W3C has deprecated the <font> tag, but it’s still supported and displayed in browsers. Using <font> tags to define font faces, sizes, and colors has several disadvantages:
