Saving Commands to the Commands Menu

It’s nice to be able to record commands, but wouldn’t it be great to save useful commands and use them over and over? If you recorded a command for short-term use and you decide that the command would be useful over multiple Dreamweaver sessions, you can save the command. In this section, you become familiar with the History panel and learn how to use it to save a command.

Exploring the History Panel

The History panel (Window, Others, History) records all the steps you perform in Dreamweaver. This panel is useful to back up steps you’ve completed in Dreamweaver, so you can undo mistakes. To undo steps in Dreamweaver, drag the slider on the left side of the History panel past listed steps. The deleted steps appear grayed out, as shown in Figure 18.12.
