Modifying an Existing Behavior Dialog Box

With a little knowledge of form elements, you can customize Behavior dialog boxes. You might need to make some elements larger or set a different default listing, for example. In this section, you’ll modify two different dialog boxes—the Set Text of Status Bar and the Check Browser behaviors.

Q: How can I share the objects I create with others on my team?

You can easily create your own extension package files so that others can install objects, commands, and other extensions you’ve created. There is a link listed in Appendix A, “Resources,” to Macromedia instructions for creating an MXI (Macromedia Extension Info) file defining the names and locations of extension files. This file is formatted in XML. The Extension Manager reads an MXI file when you select the Package Extension command and creates an MXP (Macromedia Extension Package) file just like the ones you download from the Macromedia Exchange.
