Using the Assets Panel

The Assets panel catalogs and organizes the images, colors, links, movies, scripts, templates, and library items in your Web site. This panel is divided by categories, which are accessed by clicking the category buttons. The Assets panel helps you organize and use the media assets, such as images, colors, and movies, in your online learning application. Dreamweaver uses the site cache, initially created when the site is defined, to catalog the site assets.

The assets in all the categories, except the Template and Library categories, can be displayed in two ways: a Site list and a Favorites list. The radio buttons at the top of the Assets panel, shown in Figure 7.1, control the display of these two lists. When the Site list radio button is selected, the Site list displays all of a particular type of asset (such as images) in the current site.
