Summary

In the chapters leading up to this one, we learned how to create the most popular extension types, and got a lot of practice manipulating the Dreamweaver DOM, exploring the methods and properties available through the API, and just generally brushing up our scripting skills.

Is this the end of the story? Not by a long shot! Even after all this work, we’ve only delved a little way into the wide world of Dreamweaver extensibility. There are hundreds more API methods to take advantage of; half a dozen extension types not covered here, including reports, toolbars, translators and server models. There are more custom interface elements, and more things to be done with those interface elements we already know.
