Working with Head Content in Dreamweaver

Dreamweaver provides two main interfaces for dealing with head content: the category of Head objects in the Insert bar, for adding content to the head; and the Head Content view option, along with Property inspectors for each kind of content, for examining and editing head content.

Viewing and Examining Head Content

Head content cannot be dealt with directly in Dreamweaver Design view, because the Design view only shows the content that will display in a browser (<body> content, in other words). Although you’re always free to access head elements directly through Code view, the Code inspector, or Tag Inspector, Dreamweaver also provides a visual interface that shows an icon for each element present in the head (see Figure 7.1).
