Working with Custom Classes

Custom classes are the most common way of applying a style to a page. With a custom class, you define the characteristics of the block element (the paragraph or the table) and then apply the style to that block element.

Using custom classes, you can be selective with the elements that you want to be styled, as opposed to redefining an HTML tag, which will change all instances.
