Chapter 25. Templates and Libraries > Working with Templates

Working with Templates

If you plan to have many similar pages on a web site, and you want to maintain a consistent look and feel from page to page, templates can prove extremely useful. When you create a template, you specify which page elements will be editable; all other page elements are noneditable, or locked.

After a template has been created, child pages can be made from it. In the child pages, the editable regions can be altered in any way you choose, whereas the noneditable regions are unchangeable.
