Chapter 2. Setting Up the Dreamweaver Wo... > The New Dreamweaver Workspaces

The New Dreamweaver Workspaces

Whether or not you’re new to Dreamweaver, launching Dreamweaver MX for the first time and seeing the new interface will be a new experience for you. If you’re working on Dreamweaver/Windows, you’re seeing the new integrated interface that Macromedia is introducing with all of its MX software (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash). If you’re working on Dreamweaver/Mac, you’re seeing the non-integrated but still brand-new Dreamweaver Macintosh interface (Aqua-fied, if you’re on Mac OS X). No matter which platform you’re on, you have new choices to make about how you want your workspace set up so you can do your best work.

Note

In a panic after upgrading? Relax! Although the interface looks quite a bit different than in previous versions of Dreamweaver, only the layout has changed. All the same features are there, along with a few more.
