Users See One Page at a Time

When users arrive at a site, they look for the first thing that they think will help them accomplish their goal, and they click it. As they navigate through your site, they will click from page to page, looking for the next link or button to move them forward.

Each new page that a user encounters is a decision point. Users will ask themselves, “Should I continue going forward, or should I go back?” In either case, users are making these decisions and clicking through sites one page at a time, and this is how you should design.
