Chapter 7. Clicking It Together > Clicking It for Your Web Site

Clicking It for Your Web Site

When it comes to designing your own site, you need to determine which types of users are most relevant to supporting your goals. Different types of businesses might validly place a differing emphasis on browsers, evaluators, transactors, and customers. Retail sites might focus more on browsers and evaluators; marketplaces might focus more on customers and so on.

As a closing note for this chapter, remember that what’s appropriate and successful on one type of site might seem silly or even counterproductive on another. You have to fall back on an understanding of your users’ decision-making process to map out how to design your site.
