Creating a Restricted Simple Search Page

With privacy issues becoming a growing concern on the Internet, the number of passwords users have to remember is growing beyond belief! From online banking codes to Internet service provider logons to ordering profiles on a hundred different Web sites, Web surfers are constantly being instructed to provide a password. And what happens when they just can’t recall that password they created six months ago? Hopefully, the Web developer for the site considered this and developed a method for looking up the password.

These password lookups usually require the entering of the visitor’s username and a unique piece of data that the visitor provided when initially creating their account, usually their mother’s maiden name, city of birth, or some other identifying criteria.
