Chapter 13. Adding eLearning to Your Site > Adding a Simple Quiz to Your Site

Adding a Simple Quiz to Your Site

Now that you are somewhat familiar with what CourseBuilder looks like, the best way to see how easy it is to add an eLearning element to your site is to build a simple interactive element. To start, you’re going to create a very simple, fun quiz that visitors to the Nostalgic Radio Favorites site might enjoy. After this quiz is developed, visitors to the site access the quiz by clicking a link that challenges them to test their old-time radio knowledge.

When the visitor clicks the link, the site spawns a new window, where the first question of the quiz is displayed. As you will see when the quiz is complete, instead of asking the visitor the questions, collecting the answers, and “grading” the visitor’s performance, you are going to ask the question and then continually give hints until he gets the answer right. When the visitor gives the correct answer, he will then be moved on to the next question.
