Quiz

1:When you're working in a collaborative environment and using FTP, it doesn't matter if everyone is using Dreamweaver's Check In/Check Out functionality. True or false?
2:Why do you need to define a remote site for a website?
3:What is Dreamweaver's most useful tool for troubleshooting a connection to a remote site via FTP?

Quiz Answers

A1: False. It's too easy for one member of your group to overwrite the work of another member if not everyone is using the Check In/Check Out functionality. The only time you don't need to use this functionality when working with a group is when you are using a third-party program to manage version control.
A2: In order to put website files on a public server or share files with a group, you need to define a remote site in Dreamweaver.
A3: Dreamweaver's most useful tool in this situation is the FTP log. The FTP Log tab in the Results panel enables you to read the error messages sent back by the server. Or, select the View Site FTP Log button in the Expanded Files panel.
