Hour 11. Managing Assets Using the Asset... > Copying Assets to Another Site

Copying Assets to Another Site

The Assets panel displays the assets of the current site. When you select a different site from the Site drop-down menu in the Files panel, the assets of the new site are displayed in the Assets panel. Sometimes you might want to copy assets to a different website. You can copy a single asset, a group of assets, or a favorites group to another site.

To copy a single asset to another site, simply right-click (Control+click on the Mac) the item name in the Assets panel and select the Copy to Site command. Select the site to which you want to copy the asset. Dreamweaver copies the exact folder structure and the file for an image or movie asset to the other site.
