Hour 13. Designing Page Layout Using Tables > Editing a Table in Standard Mode

Editing a Table in Standard Mode

After you've designed your layout in Layout mode, you need to add content to the table. You can also edit your layout table and add content in Standard mode by changing the attributes of the table and its cells. You also need to set the alignment of the contents of the cells. The settings discussed next are available only when you are in Standard mode. You can either click the Standard Mode button in the Layout category of the Insert bar or click the [exit] link in the Layout mode bar at the top of the Document window.

Did you Know?: Use Both Standard and Layout Modes

When I'm working on tables in Dreamweaver, I usually go back and forth multiple times between Standard and Layout modes. Some procedures are easier in Layout mode, such as sizing, moving, and drawing table cells, while I think it's easier to set various table properties in Standard mode.
