Real-World Forms, Building Forms That Work

Now that you know how all the different form elements work, you can put together a form that actually uses a CGI script, and you can make your form visually pleasing.

The first thing you need to look at is how you can incorporate a form into a structured table. The trick is to make sure the table is placed between the red dashed form delimiter. If you try to place a form tag within the table, you'll be able to place a form within only one cell. A form cannot span across multiple cells—that's why you need to place the entire table between the form tags. This way you can place different form elements in different cells, yet they'll all be part of the same form.
