Troubleshooting Dreamweaver MX 2004 Application Development Errors

Developing software is an arduous and time-consuming task, even for an entire team of developers. Unforeseen errors are inevitable and, in most cases, acknowledged during the release of the software. While beta testing this new version of software, hundreds of bugs were posted to the Macromedia bug reporting site. Did they all get fixed? Most did, some didn't. To get the newest release of software out to developers in a timely manner, companies including Macromedia must make sacrifices and release programs that they know contain errors. For the most part, those errors rarely cause the program to function incorrectly, although at times you may experience minor setbacks. Generally, most bugs that a software application contains are fixed through the release of updates and/or patches on Macromedia's site. Other times, patches don't exist and a more detailed explanation of the problem must be given to the developer. In these instances, you'll want to visit Macromedia's Dreamweaver tech notes site for a list of known issues:www.macromedia.com/support/dreamweaver/technotes.html. You may also want to visit the product updates site periodically for Dreamweaver's newest patches and updates: http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/updates.
