Chapter 5. Creating Tables > Working with Table Formats

Working with Table Formats

When working with tables, you may want to create a consistent design that presents the information in an easy-to-read manner. Often this requires creating a color scheme for your table to follow. Creating color and organizational schemes can become a time-consuming proposition; however, a Format Table feature inside of Dreamweaver offers a quick solution.

Table formats enable you to choose from several presets: Simple, AltRows, and DblRows. The simple format maintains the same background color throughout the entire table, but changes the top row and the left column. The AltRows format alternates the background color of each row in the table. You can choose from eight color combinations. The last category, DblRows, alternates the background color of every two rows.
