Introduction to ASP.NET

ASP.NET, part of Microsoft's new strategy for delivering software as a service, is the next-generation environment for developing server-based, dynamic applications. Utilizing the .NET Framework, ASP.NET provides developers with a rich set of controls with which to build, deploy, and maintain applications and Web services (discussed in Chapter 29, “XML Web Services”).
