Chapter 6. HTML Forms > Inserting Form Objects

Inserting Form Objects

When you insert form objects into your HTML document, it is important to keep the objects within the red, dashed lines. If you have several sets of red, dashed lines in your document, that means you have several forms in your document, which will need to have their own Submit buttons. So as you add form objects to the page, if your intent is to have one form, it is extremely important to have only one form delimiter on your page.

You cannot resize the form delimiter; the delimiter expands as form objects are inserted between them. It's also worth noting that the delimiter or red, dashed lines will not appear in the browser. Remember it is a visual aid, so that you as the developer have an idea as to where the form tag is within the document.
