Workshop

The Workshop area is meant to reinforce your reading with a series of questions and exercises.

Q&A

Q1: What is the best approach to development, considering all the problems with Netscape 4.x?
A1: Develop for the problem child (which currently is Netscape), and deploy everywhere. If you develop for the browser with the most problems, you won't have to go back and adjust your code later.
Q2:Is there any definitive way to identify a query that is going to confuse Dreamweaver MX?
A2: Beware of queries that use the tag identifiers for the embedded language you're using. For example, using <%> to match HTML tags in a SQL query is dangerous.
Q3:If I test the document the way you described, is it going to be perfect?
A3: Maybe, maybe not! That depends on how you defined your database, the server behaviors you used, and what you intended the final product to be. I can only give you hints to point you in the right direction. It's up to you to do the rest. There is no way to perfectly predict the actions of users—they're likely to follow link paths, resize windows, and change preferences in ways you never thought of.
