Validating Code

One of the easiest ways to make sure that your pages are going to work is to use the Dreamweaver MX code validation tools to check them. Dreamweaver can validate against a number of code standards, reporting each error it finds along the way. In fact, tests are included for testing against different browser models as well as coding standards.

Checking the Target Browser

One of the most frequent tests you might want to perform is a browser check, which will help identify HTML issues that occur on different versions of browsers, including Explorer, Netscape, and Opera. To activate the check, select File, Check Page, and then Check Target Browsers. Dreamweaver MX will open a list of possible browser models to validate against, as seen in Figure 20.10.
