Day 8. Defining a Dynamic Site > Setting Up a Dynamic Site Definition

Setting Up a Dynamic Site Definition

Before you can even begin to think about connecting to a database, you must first define the remote application server, and how you will be accessing it. Remember, for many of the connection methods, Dreamweaver transfers files to the server and executes them. This means that the connection to the application server is priority one. After that, we'll worry about database connections.

For today's lesson, let's define a dynamic site called Day 8. If you're using the sample data that you created data source names (DSN) for in the last chapter, you'll even be able to make a real data connection in a matter of minutes.
