A Table of a Table

A collection of information in a database is called a table. As you might guess, a table of data from a database is easily represented as a table within HTML. Dreamweaver MX makes it convenient to design a program that does just that—however, without a little work, you'll find that your information is probably lacking a bit on the style end.

Today's database, named day10, contains a few tables that we'll work to put online. If you followed the instructions in Day 7, “Preparing a Server for Dreamweaver MX,” this data should already be accessible in either a MySQL or Access data source on your test server. If not, create your own day10 database, and populate it with the sample data that is presented throughout the chapter. It is important that we're all working with the same information; otherwise things will get mighty strange mighty quickly. Don't worry; the chapters are laid out so that it should be very difficult to not have the right information and files in place at any given time. If you don't skip around too much, you won't get lost.
