Q&A

Q1: What will GoLive do if I enter a tag incorrectly in the HTML Source Editor?
A1: If you have Syntax Highlighting turned on, the color of the tag will continue throughout the text on your page, indicating that the tag has not been properly closed. If you have display errors activated, you would also see the error listed in the error log.
Q2:I have a lot of code on my page. What is the easiest way to find exactly what I am looking for in the source code?
A2: The best way to find specific elements in the source code is to activate them in the Layout view. Elements that are active in the Layout view are highlighted in the Source view, Source Split view, and the Source Code palette. The element's code will be highlighted. In the Source Mode, if you don't immediately see the highlighted text, choose Find Selection from the Edit menu.
Q3:I used the color #00B63B for many of my table cells, but need to switch it to the Web-safe #33CC33”. What is the best way to do this?
A3: Using the Element Finder, you can instruct GoLive to find every <table> tag that includes that color value in its background attribute
<table> <td bgcolor="00B63B">This information is in the Cell</td></table>

and replace it with

<table> <td bgcolor="33CC33">This information is in the Cell</td></table>
