Using Image Mapping

Image Mapping—the process of dividing an image into areas called hotspots that can then be linked individually—is a tedious and frustrating process when done by hand. But it is as easy and fun as using a drawing program in GoLive. Using the Image Map– drawing tools, you draw the hotspots onto your image. Hotspots can be square, round, or multisided. Each hotspot you draw can then be assigned its own link. This way you can have one image that links to many places.

An example of a good use for an Image Map is a navagation bar. We have an image ready to go in the hour5images folder.
