Summary

In this hour, you learned how to get your Web page search engine ready. Keep in mind that keywords and descriptions can help, but are not a cure-all. Search engines look for lots of different criteria, and generally assign greater relevance to text located at the top of a page than to text located in the middle or at the bottom of the page. Take into account that search engines assume that Web page designers will present their most important information first.

Build your pages and submit your site, and then, in a few weeks, test by searching for yourself. If you have no luck, go back and evaluate whether you need to improve some of your keywords or copy, but don't go crazy. Competition could be high in your market. Don't forget there are other methods to market yourself!
