Converting Floating Boxes to a Layout Grid

When you're done designing a Web page with floating boxes, you might consider converting your floating boxes to a layout grid so that you can provide a version of the page that is compatible with older Web browser versions. When you convert floating boxes to a layout grid, you lose the ability to stack and animate the objects in a Web page, but the flattened page will not cause problems in version 3.0 browsers.

Before you convert your floating boxes to a layout grid, you first need to check your floating box grid settings. To change these settings, choose the fly-out menu from the Floating Boxes palette and choose the Floating Box Grid Settings, as shown in Figure 8.14.
