Q&A

Q1:How do I get as much room in the Document window as I possibly can?
A1: Make sure that the Document window is maximized. You can maximize the Document window by clicking the maximize button. You can collapse the Property inspector and the Insert bar to get more vertical room. You can expand the Docu-ment window, collapsing the Panel groups, to get more horizontal space. Now you have a lot more room to create your Web page.
Q2:I'm getting tired of holding my cursor over the buttons in the Insert bar so I can tell what the button does! Is there an easier way until I get more familiar with the icons?
A2: By default, Dreamweaver displays the icons only in the Insert bar, but you can change this in Dreamweaver preferences. Select the General category in Pref-erences. From the Insert Panel drop-down menu, select icons and text to display a text label next to the icons in the Insert bar.
Q3:Why are the Tables and Layers objects grayed out in the Insert bar?
A3: The Tables and Layers objects are not available when you are in Layout view. You need to return to Standard view to see the objects in the Insert bar again. You can toggle between Standard and Layout view in the Layout tab of the Insert bar (or at the bottom of the Insert bar on the Mac).
