Editing a Template into Your Own Page

After a template has been saved on your hard drive, you can edit, expand, reformat, or delete any part of it. In a few cases, you might find that you don't need to change much of anything—anywhere the template already says what you want to say, leave it alone.

Most of the text you see, however, must be replaced or deleted. You'll learn in detail how to edit Web pages in upcoming hours, but just to get you started (templates, after all, are for those who want to work quickly), the following are a few quick editing techniques:
