Other Dynamic Elements

There are other ways to get dynamic elements onto your Web pages—such as full-blown Flash animations or Java. Using Java can add a fully interactive program to your Web site. There is very little you can't do with these other animation/programming languages. The biggest difference is that these elements require plug-ins, or additional work outside of the UltraDev environment. Depending on the type of content, you can use the Property Inspector to display it directly in the design view by using the Play button.

After you have an element to insert, you can use the Modify menu to add a Media type to your document. For example, choose Flash to insert a Flash movie into the HTML. You'll only see a gray rectangle, shown in Figure 4.22, to represent the dynamic element, but you will design around it and set properties for that object.
