Answers for Day 2, “Using the UltraDev WYSIWYG Layout Tools”

1: How can you access and edit the attributes and tags within the <HEAD> tags?
A1: Choose Head Content from the View menu to display all of these otherwise hidden tags.
2: Where can I define the colors that a link is displayed in?
A2: Open the Page Properties selection under the Modify menu. This is an eclectic collection of options that don't fit elsewhere in the program.
3: How can I position elements using a table so that they are placed against one another?
A3: Make sure that the border, cellpadding, and cellspacing options on the table are set to zero, and then insert your elements.
4: I've designed a table using Layers, but now I need it to display properly on 3.0 version browsers. Am I out of luck?
A4: Nope. Choose Convert Layers to Tables from Layout Mode of the Modify menu. This will convert all your layers into tables that are compatible with older browsers.
5: How can you use a table to create pixel-point accurate layouts without resorting to layers or time-consuming manual cell spacing?

The Layout mode uses tables to transparently allow you to position cells anywhere you'd like on the screen. This is an excellent alternative to layers.
