Q&A

Q1:The quiz's security…how secure is it?
A1: It's secure to the point of handling the questions correctly, but it has the problem of allowing a user to potentially fake his identity by changing the username within the form. If you're security minded, you should replace the hidden field submitted with this value so that it is handled entirely by the MM_Username session variable.
Q2:What is the difference between using a Go To URL function and skipping the page redirection altogether?
A2: If we had just redirected to the same page we were on when setting up the insert behavior function, the result would have been moving back to the top of the question stack. When redirecting to the URL, the current recordset offset is not passed along, and the quiz would start at the beginning.
Q3:What happens if the user answers a question that he has already answered?
A3: The system fails because only a single record can exist for a user. Take a look at the exercise section for a tip on how to fix this problem.
Q4:Could multiple tests be held in a single database?
A4: Yes, actually. If you decided to use the question topic as attribute of the main question query, you could limit the topics of the quiz. You could also expand the database so that an additional category field can be used as an attribute to select questions.
