Q&A

Q1:I created a Web page with some images in it. When I preview it in the browser the images don't show up. Why?
A1: Until you save your page, Dreamweaver doesn't know how to express the path to the image files. That's why the images don't show up. Save your page before you preview it and you should be all right.
Q2:I accidentally stretched an image. Help!
A2: It's easy to restore the original dimensions of an image by selecting the image and clicking the Refresh button.
Q3:I have access to graphics that our documentation department uses, but they are in the TIF format. How can I use these graphics for my Web page?
A3: The easiest and most efficient way to convert TIFs into a format that you can display on the Web is with one of the image optimization programs like Fireworks. Fireworks will import the TIF, help you optimize the image, and save it in a Web image format.
