Event Object

Represents a user-interaction event, such as clicking a thumbnail. Bridge creates an event object whenever one of the triggering events occurs, and passes it to any event handlers that you have registered with the App Object’s eventHandlers (page 99) property. The only way to access an event object is as the argument to such an event-handling function. See “Event Handling in Bridge” on page 17 for details of how to define and register these functions.

The object with which the user interacted to generate the event is called the target object of that event. Different target object types are associated with different types of events, as listed in “Event object types” on page 113.
